Epiphany Pilates COVID-19 Policies and Procedures
While we always have prided ourselves on maintaining a safe and clean environment, we have implemented some new policies and procedures to minimize the spread of COVID-19 at the studio. These changes have been designed to allow for a cleaner, safer, and more hygienic studio experience for everyone.
Before entering the studio, clients must be wearing a mask. Masks should remain on and may only be removed briefly in the event that a client has difficulty breathing while performing an exercise at the studio. To optimize comfort while exercising at the studio with a mask, we recommend the use of a KN95 mask, paper surgical mask, or fitness mask. There are several fitness masks on the market, for example the Made to Move Mask by Atheta and the UA Sportsmask by Under Armour.
Clients must wait outside the studio or in their vehicles prior to classes and sessions. The instructor will invite clients waiting at the door to enter or call clients waiting in their vehicles a few moments before each class or session.
All clients will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms before entering the facilities. See sample screening form HERE. Clients answering “YES” to any of the screening questions will not be permitted to enter the facilities and will be required to reschedule their class or session after a minimum of 14 days.
Clients with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 will not be permitted to return to classes or sessions without proof of a negative COVID-19 test and a letter from their treating physician clearing them to safely return to the studio.
Upon entering the studio, clients are still required to remove their shoes. Shoe soles are one of the most common vectors for infectious diseases and can quickly transmit germs throughout the studio. If you feel uncomfortable in bare feet, be sure to bring grippy socks or purchase a pair at the front desk.
A touchless hand sanitizer dispenser is available at the front desk. Clients will be required to sanitize their hands before entering the facilities. Clients should also wash their hands both before and after each class or session using warm water and soap.
Equipment has been adequately spaced to allow for 10 ft of separation between clients. Instructors will be wearing facial coverings and will also maintain at least 10 ft of distance between themselves and clients.
All sessions and full-length classes will now be 50 minutes to allow time for thorough cleaning. Express classes and virtual classes will be 40 minutes.
All clients will be required to have their own personal loops to be used during equipment classes and private/semi-private training sessions. Personal loops compatible with our equipment may be purchased at the front desk. Clients wishing to purchase their own loops from another source must first ensure that the loops are compatible with our equipment. Incompatible loops may not be attached to our equipment. In the event that a client forgets their loops, these may be rented for a fee of $15 per class or session. These loops will be thoroughly sanitized after each use.
Clients should bring their own towels as these will no longer be provided at the front desk.
Clients must clean any equipment used after each class or session. Single-use CDC/EPA-approved disinfectant wipes are provided at the front of the studio. Clients may clean equipment before each class or session, if desired.
Two (2) HEPA air purification systems have been installed at the studio. Since the coronavirus spreads primarily via droplets expelled from the body through coughing, talking, and breathing, these systems work by capturing infectious particles in the air and then sending clear air back into the room.
All equipment and heavily-touched surfaces will be regularly sanitized using UV-C light as well as CDC/EPA-approved disinfectants.
At the end of each session or class, clients are required to leave the studio promptly to minimize contact with other clients and allow time for additional cleaning. We know that our studio is much more than just a place to exercise but a community. So, this policy in particular makes us sad but we are comforted by the fact that it’s only temporary and clients are still welcome to chat after our virtual classes.
Cash payments or checks will temporarily not be accepted at this time. Clients must have a valid credit card on file for all purchases.
Most importantly, if you are feeling unwell, please cancel your booking and do not come to the studio. This includes fever, vomiting, diarrhea, excessive coughing, body aches and general malaise. Rest up! You will recover faster and have a much better session when you return. Best of all, you will be the Pilates Superhero that keeps everyone else safe.
