Vinyasa Basics Workshop Series Starts this November
Are you interested in trying vinyasa yoga but not sure where to start? Are you looking for the right modifications to help take your vinyasa yoga practice to a new level? Do you want to delve deeper into certain poses but need an expert guide to help you get there?
Join Rosemary for a special 4-week Vinyasa Basics Workshop series from Sunday, November 1st until Sunday, November 22nd at 1pm in our virtual studio (free Zoom access required). Each 60-minute workshop session will include an in-depth look at the fundamental Yoga postures and helpful modifications to make these poses accessible for all bodies. It is perfect for both beginners and experienced yogis wishing to focus on proper alignment, efficient movement and breathing.
Week One – Sun Salutations and Standing Poses (November 1, 2020 - 1pm)
During the first week of the series, we will explore the poses that make up the vinyasa as well as the typical standing poses, practicing with props to refine alignment.
Week Two – Balance Poses and Twists (November 8, 2020 - 1pm)
During the second week of the series, we will take an in-depth look at the standing balance poses, using props to assist with proper alignment, as well as discuss the benefits of twists.
Week Three – Hips and Core (November 15, 2020 - 1pm)
During the third week of the series, we will explore each of the hip poses and the benefits of each one. We will also discuss the importance of core strength in the fundamental yoga poses.
Week Four – Putting It All Together (November 22, 2020 - 1pm)
The final week of the series will consist of one long asana practice using the skills developed and learned throughout each week.
